After more than two years research and development work, the Delicious Seeds R&D team presents its new strain of marihuana called Honeybells (DS34), which has high levels of CBD. Honeybells (DS34) is the result of crossing Caramelo (DS20) (Lavender x Lavender), a mainly sativa strain with great genetic diversity – Hawaiian, Afghan, Colombian and Mexican – and highly valued for its unmistakeable lavender taste and aroma, with Carmen, which is very rich in CBD.
With ratios of 1:1, this plant is ideal for medicinal use as well as for those who want to combine its use with tasks requiring concentration. Owing to its THC-CBD ratio, this plant is only mildly psychoactive.
It all started three years ago when we got our hands on a clone of a plant called Carmen, which, we realised when we smoked it, didn’t get us stoned but did have a magnificent mandarine taste. After cloning, we grew it again but this time we analysed it and were surprised to find that it tested at 8.5% THC and 12.5% CBD so we all decided to work on it and conduct further research. In fact, we set ourselves the challenge of crossing all our best strains with Carmen. Our first big success is DEEP MANDARINE (DS32), which is Carmen crossed with our best-known strain worldwide; SUGAR BLACK ROSE (SBR) (DS27).
The resulting plant appears to be totally identical to Sugar Black Rose (DS27) but with such a profound mandarine taste that we really couldn’t call it anything else. As well as giiving us its name, this strain’s remarkable mandarine taste and smell indicate a high level of medicinally beneficial terpenes. Analyses conducted so far have given ratios of between 1/1 and 1/3 while some plants tested at 4% THC to 15% CBD, which not only suprised us all but spurred us on to make sure we could bring it to market for 2016.
With ratios of 1:1 and up to 1:2, we’d like to present to you the CBD version of our Marmalate strain, which is, as you know, a cross between Critical Mass, a mainly Sativa looking strain with marked Indica characteristics, with an Indica looking plant with important Sativa traits – the famous Lavender – and which we’ve named CBD JAM (DS33).
CBD JAM (DS33) is a cross between Marmalate (DS25) with our own Carmen, which adds hints of sweet pineapple although the delicious taste and smell of the Marmalate still stand out. The main difference between Marmalate and CBD JAM (DS33) is in CBD production, which, for CBD JAM (DS33), can reach up to 13%.
Auto Blue Ace Cbd
Auto Blue Ace Cbd
Auto Blue Ace CBD (DS35): It’s been more than 4 years now that we started developing plants with high levels of cbd and after so much research and effort, this year we can reveal our first non-photo dependent high cbd strain. AUTO BLUE ACE CBD (DS35) is a fifth-generation non-photo dependent plant that is the result of a cross between La Diva (DS7) and our carmen auto (we need to give special mention to the male carmen, the magnificent plant that enabled us to make cbd crosses and to which we shall be eternally grateful).
We’ve worked through more than 5 generations to convert carmen into a non-photo dependent plant with a high cbd concentration and a very subtle and agreeable taste and smell. Like many high cbd strains, the taste is fruity with citrussy notes. The end result is a non-photo dependent plant with thc-cbd ratios of between 1.1 to 1.2. As it dries, the most volatile substances of blue ace give way to a taste between acid fruit and pepper with an aftertaste of hash.
La Diva (DS7) is a cross between a stupendous Blueberry clone from DJ Short and our own Il Diavolo (DS8), this is a first generation auto. A vigorous grower and despite being a medium-sized plant, usually creates good lateral branches. Once the seeds germinate, we should try and place them in the final pot or space. Either in a small container (yoghurt pot size) to see the plants’ initial development to then transfer them into the final pot before the third pair of leaves become visible.
This will prevent premature flowering. Indoors, it’s a good idea to separate the plants as they grow so that light can reach all the lateral branches. Good yields are easy for beginners and more advanced growers alike. In very cold climates it’s a very attractive option for a summer harvest while in Mediterranean, or warmer, climes two or three harvests a season are very common.
La Bella Afrodita
La Bella Afrodita
La Bella Afrodita (DS5) is a cross between our own Il Diavolo (DS8) with AK47 Auto, revealing a new generation of automatics, which are the result of crossing two auto strains, producing larger plants and bigger yields than their predecessors.
Plants may reach 70-120cm and produce long branches laden with long, dense, resin-covered buds. Perfect in cold climates for a summer harvest while in Mediterranean climes two or three harvests a season are very common.
Its aroma includes typical Afghan overtones with a fresh and fruity twist. High medicinal value and ideal for relieving chronic pain. Produces a pleasant feeling of wellbeing and has sedative properties, making it ideal for long sessions of meditation and relaxation.
CRITICAL NEVILLE HAZE AUTO
CRITICAL NEVILLE HAZE AUTO
We present Critical Neville Haze Auto (DS1), the most sativa auoflowering strain in our collection and with a sweet metallic taste that will blow all of your senses and a resin production higher than most other auto strains, above all with respect to cannabinoid concentration.
We’re very grateful to the guys at World of Seeds who lent us as many Neville Haze Auto seeds as we needed even before it came to market although they’d been working on its development for more than 3 years. We built on all their hard work and crossed it with our own Il Diavolo Auto (DS8).
The result is what we believe to be the most complete auto in our bank; 90% sativa dominant with a very special 10% indica twist from the Il Diavolo (DS8) that seems to get lost in the cross but which noticeably shortens the flowering stage of the Neville Auto, cutting the total life cycle and making the height more suitable for indoor growing.
